Russia has no intention of attacking EU or Nato states, foreign minister says
Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov says his country has no intention of attacking EU or Nato member states but warned of a decisive response to any aggression directed towards Moscow. In a wide-ranging speech delivered at the UN General Assembly on Saturday, Lavrov said threats against Russia by Western countries were becoming increasingly common. He also took aim at Israel, saying that while Russia condemned the 7 October 2023 attacks by Hamas, there was no justification for the brutal killings of Palestinians in Gaza, or for plans to annex the West Bank. Israel has previously said its Gaza operation is necessary to defeat Hamas. At least 65,926 people have been killed by Israeli strikes, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, while about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage in the 7 October attacks.

State Department investigating Rubio AI impersonator who contacted US, foreign officials
Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said the State Department is "aware" of an incident in which someone used AI to try to pose as Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The State Department is investigating an impostor who reportedly pretended to be Secretary of State Marco Rubio with the help of AI. The mystery individual posing as one of President Donald Trump's Cabinet members reached out to foreign ministers, a U.S. governor and a member of Congress with AI-assisted voice and text messages that mimicked Rubio's voice and writing style, the Washington Post reported, citing a senior U.S. official and State Department cable. "The State Department, of course, is aware of this incident and is currently monitoring and addressing the matter. The department takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard its information and continuously take steps to improve the department's cybersecurity posture to prevent future incidents. For security reasons, we do not have any further details to provide at this time," State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said Tuesday.

Ukraine 'will not back down' against Russia as it urges Western support
Ukraine will forge ahead in the battle against Russia's invasion, Kyiv's top diplomat has pledged as he seeks to rally Western support. Ukraine will not "back down" in fighting against the Russian invasion, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told a summit of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels on Wednesday, even as its military locked into a bloody stalemate with enemy forces amid signs that the provision of weapons and funding is slowing and that the war in Gaza is limiting global attention. "We have to continue, we have to keep fighting. Ukraine is not going to back down," Kuleba said. "The issue here is not just Ukraine's security, it is the security and safety of the entire Euro-Atlantic space."

India's foreign minister says he briefed US officials on Canada row
India's foreign minister has confirmed that he discussed his country's row with Canada over the killing of a Canadian Sikh leader with top United States government officials during a visit to Washington, DC, this week. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said on Friday that he laid out India's concerns about Sikh separatist movement supporters in Canada during talks a day earlier with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on September 18 that his government was investigating "credible allegations of a potential link" between Indian government agents and the June killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Sikh leader in western Canada. "They [Blinken and Sullivan] obviously shared US views and assessments on this whole situation and I explained to them … the concerns which I had," Jaishankar said during an event on Friday morning at the Hudson Institute, a conservative US think tank. "Hopefully we both came out of those meetings better informed."

Lithuanian Foreign Minister: 'No greater threat' than Russia, seeks to preserve 'global rules-based order'
Lithuania's Foreign Minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, talked with Fox News Digital about Russia, China and the'global rules-based order' on the 20th anniversary of his country joining NATO. Lithuania commemorated its entry into NATO this last week and its long-standing partnership with the U.S. as leaders look ahead to the increasingly complex security landscape developing around the world. President George W. Bush visited the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius 20 years ago to welcome the country into the still-growing NATO alliance, applauding the character of member states to "stand in the face of evil, to have the courage to always face danger." "President [George W.] Bush made the most famous speech any American has ever made in Lithuania exactly 20 years ago," Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview. "That was even before we were a member of NATO, and it was probably the most important security guarantee that we got before Article Five started covering us with its umbrella."

As diplomacy hopes dim, U.S. marshals allies to furnish long-term military aid to Ukraine
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – The United States marshaled 40 allies on Tuesday to furnish Ukraine with long-term military aid in what could become a protracted battle against the Russian invasion, and Germany said it would send dozens of armored anti-aircraft vehicles. It was a major policy shift for a country that had wavered over fear of provoking Russia. The announcement by Germany, Europe's biggest economy and one of Russia's most important Western trading partners, was among many signals on Tuesday pointing to further escalation in the war and disappointment for diplomacy. Germany's shift on weapons also was seen as a strong affirmation of a toughened message by the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden, which has said it wants to see Russia not only defeated in Ukraine but seriously weakened from the conflict that Russian President Vladimir Putin began two months ago. The increasing flow of Western weapons into Ukraine -- including howitzers, armed drones, tanks and ammunition -- also amounted to another sign that a war Putin had expected would divide his Western adversaries had instead drawn them much closer together.

Singapore announces national AI strategy, office
Singapore is tapping artificial intelligence as the next part of its "Smart Nation" project, the city-state's foreign minister announced Tuesday. The strategy identifies five areas -- transportation, smart cities, healthcare, education and public safety -- where AI can be used to make big change. As part of its strategy, Singapore also announced the creation of a National AI Office to "drive the national AI agenda." The office will work to enjoin efforts underway in the city-state's research, industry and government sectors to tackle key challenges. Vivian Balakrishnan, who leads the Smart Nation Initiative for Singapore, and serves as its foreign minister, officially announced the new strategy at the opening session of Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
